很多人都在试图帮助四川的救灾工作，目前已经有许多人来到成都。道路上运送物资的车辆十分的拥堵，使得营救队无法很快的进入。为了让救援更有秩序，政府现在公布了交通管制，帮助那些最受灾最严重的地区。我们要继续做什么呢，我们需要获得政府的批准与合作。这就是为什么昨天我到四川民政厅拿到介绍信，前往3个灾区孩子的家。今天上午，我去了红十字会，并获得了去德阳的许可证。幸运的是，一切都非常顺利。我们的志愿者司机肖文和我今天上午11点带着昨天晚上从北京发来的尿布和奶粉出发去德阳。休 闲 宝 贝 网

　　大约一小时后，我们抵达德阳孤儿院。罗主任得知我们到来的消息后，她和她的两名工作人员来到路边迎接我们。她说，地震以来，我们是除政府外第一只来帮助他们的队伍。 福利院共64个孩子全部转移到福利院的后院，并临时居住在帐篷里。两个小孩睡一张床。有一个一个婴儿的脸上被蚊子咬了很多包。大约有20个2岁以下儿童，他们都在用尿布。

　　罗主任告诉我，她接到口头的通知，将有40个孤儿即将到来。她要提前准备所需的一切东西，目前她缺乏人力和资金。我们答应她会帮助他们解决目前最迫切需要的东西。我们在附近的商店购买了五百公斤大米和20罐油。我想，我们应该可以为这些孤儿筹集资金。

　　两个好消息，谭佩仪女士美国驻华大使的妻子和她的义工队在上周六时装表演活动中筹集了100多万元善款。他们将捐出一半的钱给蒲公英学校，另一半捐赠给四川地震的受害者。

　　我的朋友karyn robart ，从他们的设计公司集资超过19.0万元。他们将捐款给儿童希望，用于地震儿童救灾。

　　There are many people trying to help with the relief work in Sichuan, and many of them came to Chengdu. Some roads are crowed with cars trying to deliver goods that the resuce team can’t get to the destiny easily. In order to keep the rescue more orderly, the government now announced a traffic control to those most hit areas. To keep doing what we do, we need to get the government approval and cooperation. That’s why yesterday I went to Sichuan Civil Affairs for a introduction letter to go to 3 children’s home in the disaster area. And this morning, I went to Red Cross to get the pass to get on the high way to Deyang. Fortunately, everything went very smoothly. Our volunteer driver Xiao Wen and I got on our road by 11:am with a car load of diapers, and formula we received from Beijing last night.

　　We arrived at Deyang orphanage in about one hour. Director Luo knew we were coming so she and two of her staff came to the road to great us. She said since the earth quake, we are the first group besides the government to come to help them.

　　All of the 64 children are moved from their building to the tents they built in the back yard. The little ones are in two big beds. One baby’s face is covered with mosquito bits. There are 20 children under 2 and they are all in diapers.

　　Director Lu told me she received verbal notice, that there will be 40 orphan victims coming soon. So she is trying to prepare for everything and she lacks people and funds. I offered to help them with the most urgent need, so she took me to the store nearby to buy 500kg of rice and 20 jar of oil. I know we will be able to raise funds for these orphans so I ask her to please give me a list of the things she would like to have. Here is the list:

　　100 beddings,

　　Shampoo and soap

　　Diapers M and XL

　　10 tents

　　Clothing, shoes, and everyday items for the new children coming

　　More exciting news is our team members went to Beichuan came back to Chengdu. They also bought back the pictures and stories they saw there. Hehong said, she couldn’t sleep at night after spraying on bodies and rubbles all day long. When they hear ambulance, everyone get excited because it meant someone was found alive. Our reporter member Qiyan took pictures of the father who carried his daughter’s body to his wife so they can say goodbye together. The news from them first hand told me there is very little hope for survivors now.

　　There are stories being shown on the TV, one young man used the reporter’s cell phone to call into a live TV show to tell his wife he is fine and his biggest goal in life is to spend life with her. And today, the reporter spoke in tears saying the young guy didn’t make it to the end..

　　The death toll is now 28,000, and more than 160,000 injured. I pray for the young lives lost to the earth quake. May 12th is going to be always in our mind and heart. We talked among our members and start to think this is going to be a long term project.

　　Two good news, Mrs Sarah Randts, US Ambassador’s wife and her volunteer team raised over one million Yuan from the fashion show they put on tonight, and they will donate half of them to Dandelion school and the other half to Suichan victims.

　　My friend Karyn Robart, raised over 190,000Yuan from their designing firm. They will send it to our BJ account
